Giant Food Stores - EMPLOYEE IGNORED STORE POLICY WRITTEN ON HUGE SIGN RIGHT NEXT TO HER WORK STATION AND GAVE ME ATTITUDE ABOUT REQUESTING IT
I went to a Giant Food store in Columbia, and at the entry, there was a HUGE sign that stated store guarantees in big bright yellow and white letters. One guarantee said, "If an item scans incorrectly, you get the item for free." I picked up two tubes of toothpaste on sale.
They scanned at full price. I pointed this out to the cashier, "Lori," who said okay and adjusted the price (49 cents off each tube.) I then asked, isn't it your store policy to give the item for free if it scans the wrong price? I told her it was on the sign (which was literally a few feet from where she was working, she had to pass it when entering the store!) She rolled her eyes, annoyed, and adjusted the price, making me feel very embarrassed. All of the employees should know the store policies, especially if the store makes them into a HUGE BRIGHT banner over three feet high that's positioned when customers enter the store!
And if the employee makes a mistake, they should apologize and not give attitude to the customer! I found this incredibly rude and maybe, I'll start taking my business elsewhere.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

At my giant, there are similar issues and the cashier despite being middle aged still roll their eyes and make immature comments when asked to abide by the rules of the store.
Aww, poor little baby. wahhhhhhhh
